Hi, I’m
Amir Zeinali.
I’m a researcher and engineer interested in AI infrastructure, energy, and how they shape the economy at scale. I’m a junior at Stanford, pursuing a BS/MS in Computer Science (Systems + AI). I do research at the Stanford AI Lab, co-advised by Chris Ré (Hazy Research) and Azalia Mirhoseini (Scaling Intelligence Lab). My work focuses on making AI more efficient by cutting the energy, compute, and money it takes to run it at scale, so more people around the world can use it. Outside of research, I’m Vice President of BASES (Business Association of Stanford Entrepreneurial Students), where I organize AI events with founders, researchers, and investors.
Previously, I was a research intern at Arc Institute. Before coming to Stanford, I grew up in Iran and won a gold medal at the International Biology Olympiad (IBO) in high school.
